Phil Canders, CISA, CISSP VP, Professional Services Phil leads the Professional Services division of Business Vitals. His team of security auditors, analysts, interim CIOs/CSOs, and project managers conduct corporate security audits, developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and building security awareness within organizations nationwide and their supported operations offshore. He has over 26 years of diverse experience in business alignment, strategic planning, project management, cost containment, vendor coordination, root cause analysis, budgeting, and staffing. He is a seasoned executive bringing a broad perspective to BV and our clients. His multi-industry IT experience spans northeastern Public Utilities, southeastern Retail and Commercial Banking, healthcare, state and local governments, and Technology Services within IBM. Prior to joining Business Vitals, Phil provided much needed leadership within corporate and entrepreneurial environments implementing and managing several mission critical projects covering IT infrastructure, software development and applications upgrade and consolidations. One of the original founders of the SC Vocational Rehabilitation Information Technology Training School, he has served on the SC agency's Board of Directors for 13 years. Phil is a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY with a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA in Economics. He secured his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering at Syracuse University.
